Today, thanks to the Leaker Digital Chat Station, we discover the new design of the future folding smartphone of the Chinese firm. As we said, this Mate X2 will opt for a different design, like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2. This means that the slab will fold on itself, instead of being outside. This allows Huawei to offer a second screen, for quick access without opening the smartphone. According to the same source, this external display occupies the entire width of the mobile. In addition, it has a double punch that should accommodate 2 modules of 16 megapixels.

We also learn that the Kirin 9000 processor will be well embedded in the Huawei Mate X2. The newest and most powerful Android chip on the market has not completely disappeared from the landscape, after a passage on the Huawei Mate 40 Pro. Namely, the Chinese company no longer produces these chips since September 15, 2020 following the U.S. embargo. The stock was therefore larger than we thought.
