The Google Pixel 3 XL I was able to test for a few days, I will go into the important points briefly.

Processing:
The workmanship is first class – but you can expect that at this price. No sharp edges, no gaps between the body and the frame, the display is free of pixel errors – TOP!
★★★★★★★ from ★★★★★

Performance:
Google manages with – yes well the Snapdragon 845 is generally performant – a good CPU and only 4GB RAM to deliver a strong performance. A smartphone has never been so smooth to use as the Google Pixel 3 XL.
No jerking, apps start within an instant. There is nothing wrong with the performance.
★★★★★★★★★

battery:
Many users complain about the Pixel 3 XL’s battery – but not me. If you need a smartphone that can survive at least 1.5 days with at least 6 hours of screen on time, the Pixel 3 XL is the right choice. With moderate use and a Screen On Time of almost 7 hours with almost 2 days standby, it is with the 3430 mAh battery a strong performance.
★★★★★ from ★★★★★

Display:
The beautiful 6. 3 AMOLED display is pin sharp and as you know with the AMOLED display, very high contrast!
There was another thing that bothered me a lot – after 2 days of use the notch is burned into the display. If you google after the problem, you can find some posts about it – for a Samsung AMOLED panel a No-Go.
★★★★* from ★★★★★

Camera:
The camera is very strong – despite 1 lens Google manages to take better pictures than the Mate 20, OnePlus 6T, iPhone X, Note 9 or some other flagships and that’s just the technology behind it and the software. The photos are razor sharp and look natural!
★★★★★★★★

OS:
I don’t need to report much about the OS. It’s Stock Android, like iOS at Apple. Everything works fine, smooth and absolutely no problems. The 4GB RAM is enough for the surface + 5-6 more opened apps without any problems. Google has done a very good job.
★★★★★ from ★★★★★

Features:
You have to live with some drawbacks: No microSD card slot, but unlimited storage space in Google Photos and wireless charging. These two things make up for the missing microSD card slot.
Nevertheless, it is not enough for full 5 stars:
★★★★★ from ★★★★★

Conclusion:
I was very satisfied with pixel 3 XL: A very fast OS with very good battery life, excellent camera and mMn nice design. Unfortunately I had display problems or burn-in with my model, which makes the rating a bit worse.
★★★★★ from ★★★★

Switched from a Nexus 5 to the Pixel 3 64 GB Black. Its like buying a new model of the same car brand, and I love it!

I’ve used this phone for just over a month now. Most of the positive things about this phone are well documented in the reviews so I won’t mention them. I’m going to give some personal insight. Battery life is pretty decent. It gets me through the day with no stress. If you feel like you won’t make it through the day, just activate battery saver and it will easily last you till you get home. I prefer not to use the always on feature. It is quite power hungry (dropped 12-15% overnight).
– Night sight is great, but it makes the image look slightly unreal in some cases, and not in a good way.
– Day shots are out of this world. Pixel knocks other phones out of the park in this category. No competition. See attached shots for reference (not edited).
– Wide angle on the front camera is a very useful feature for group selfies.
– RAM management issues are known. Sometimes it force closes apps even though I’ve just switched to another app. So when I go back to the first app, it restarts. This is most noticeable with Spotify. This issue will take some more software updates to perfect. At the moment, for 2019 I feel that 4GB RAM is sufficient. But in the future I feel like this will be the bottleneck in terms of performance.
– Slightly disappointed with the brightness scale. My old Nexus 5 used to get really bright even at 50% brightness. That might have something to do with the fact that the technology is different. (Nexus 5 screen = LCD, Pixel 3 screen = OLED). But it was still disappointing.
– The pixel buds that come with the phone aren’t the best in terms of sound quality. I still prefer using my wired Earpods with the provided USB-C to 3.5mm adapter. The button related features of the buds are great though. It also gives you in-ear notification updates, which is good while walking/cycling.

It might seem like I’ve only spoken about the negative stuff, but trust me when I say that I do recommend this phone, especially with a deal. I got it for EUR 558. Seeing the price so low (as compared to other shops/websites), I thought it might be a refurbished product, but I was wrong. It came with proper seals on the box. No tampering. No usage evidence on the phone. It seems genuine. Hope this helps!

I was looking for a compact Android flagship smartphone. During the search, it quickly turned out that pixel 3 was the only option. Order and handling as always at Amazon excellent.

+ compact elegant design (all black)
+ very good workmanship (iPhone XS is a touch better)
+ material mix is very comfortable and slips little
+ great display without notch
+ super performance, top optimized
+ latest Android and long support by Google itself
+ Google Photo Cloud with unlimited memory for free (! )
+ Non Plus Ultra camera (don’t take my big DSLR on short trips anymore)
+ great speakers
+ fast power supply included
+ USB C headphones included

– Android 9 is partly complicated to use (but has nothing to do with the phone itself)
– Battery could be a bit better (but in a small case just doesn’t fit that much)
– Space for display could be used even more efficiently

Bought for 599€ and for that a real price/performance hit! Switched from the Pixel 2XL because it was too big for me. The Pixel 3 is a real winner and I would buy it again anytime.

Thank you for mentioning the price!599€ in February 2019. Now at the end of September 2019 (so a good 7 months later and aged!) it costs 689€ here. Very interesting.

The Pixel 3 has great performance in every-day user tasks (opening apps, browsing, multitasking), takes amazing pictures (especially in low-light conditions) and offers the stock Android experience without bloat-ware (except for Google Assistant which is shoved in your face at every opportunity). This phone has the best vibration motors I’ve experienced on an Android phone – they make typing a pleasure compared to other devices I’ve used in the past. The fingerprint scanner placed in the back unlocks the phone instantly. Battery life is not amazing but will probably last you a whole day if you’re not using the phone all the time.

The worst part about the Pixel 3 is it’s pathetic ringtone and alarm sound volume. The phone has two speakers which play music loudly and with great bass levels, however when it comes to the basics – receiving phone calls and trying to wake up in the morning, Google decided to only use one of the speakers for those. This means that ringtones and alarms will play roughly at 50% less volume than what’s possible.

I have the phone now since February. After 6 months I have the defect, that the image stabilizer is crazy.
Have searched the Internet and the forums are full of people who have the same problem.
Easy to search for: Camera Shaking pixel 3
If this would be a cheap mobile phone from China for 100 Dollars, I would say you’ve had bad luck. But with a Google Flagship phone, which has nothing to offer except a great camera, it’s embarrassing. Google Support is not a big help either, they let you try all kinds of things, but it doesn’t help at all. Instead of Google just saying we messed up and replacing all these faulty phones, nothing happens.
Could send in my phone, then I would get some refurbished phone where with a bit of luck the error will soon appear again.
Other problem is the really weak battery.
Next problem is switching from wifi to data reception. Without restarting the phone nothing works.
So if the inventor of Android can’t build a reasonable phone, then cheers to your meal.

After I bought the Pixel 3 mainly because of the camera (switching from Samsung) and until the update I was extremely happy with the purchase, now unfortunately disillusionment has set in. Since the update to 10 the camera flickers and makes it unusable, especially for videos. Google now has the pixel 4 on the market and doesn’t seem to be interested in a fix (you should probably get the new one !?!?!?). It’s a pity, because up to this point I found the smartphone x times better than the Samsung Galaxy Note I had before. It is extremely smooth, the handling is great (you wonder what can be so different on an Android, but it is). No annoying manufacturer apps or intermediate layers that only cost you power … if only there wasn’t that annoying camera problem …. too bad ….

Buy the phone somewhere else! The normal price is too high and if you are thinking about getting a normal price at least through the warehouse deals… you will surely end up the same way I did. Fooled you twice!!!
1. Try (condition very good) result: Broken mobile phone (SIM slot broken)
2. try (condition as new) Result: longer used mobile phone (IMEI query at Google) with the accessories either missing (SIM slot key and USB-C to USB-A adapter) or completely unsuitable (see USB-A power supply with cable instead of the original USB-C on the pictures)

The customer service at Amazon was little to no help. So if you would like to have electronic waste sent to you, you can strike here without hesitation… All others buy in reasonable shops and spend less time with the mail :-(((

High quality Smartphone with excellent display, camera and performance. The mobile phone is pleasantly smaller than most high-end mobile phones and therefore results in a purchase recommendation. The only downer: the phone fits well in the hand and could be used with a mobile phone if the back button could also be adjusted for right-handed users. Every Samsung mobile phone can do this.

For a high end device, this has somewhat disappointing specs (specifically the 4 GB of RAM). However, it has the best camera and software experience on the market and gets timely updates unlike most other devices.

If you’re looking for vanilla up to date Android, this is great. I got it when it was 200€ off on Black Friday, and am satisfied with it for that price.

Got this premium deal on Amazon for Pixel 3. turned out the device is faulty as some calls having problems with reception. seems this is a widespread issue for many all around the world for this model. Apart from this device is quite good as is a flagship this year. Nevertheless having a 700 EUR phone with faulty call problem is not recommended.

Got this as a replacement for my iPhone. Do not regret it one bit. The purity of the stock Android is amazing, and the features of the Pixel 3 extraordinary. The camera deserves a special mention too. I could not be happier with this phone, and I expect to hang on to it for a long time.

Super mobile phone, would not (actually) want to have another one. Camera is great, and no bloatware at all, of course.
Had to give it back, because it was impossible to call with it! Multiple disconnections in places that didn’t cause any problems with my previous device.
Is a very common problem, you can read everything online in the Google Forum.
If you are in urgent need of telephony, you won’t have any fun with this device.

I still mourn the cell phone, because it takes really great pictures! But I had the same problem with the phone! What a pity! Since I use the phone for work it was useless for me.
