Conclusion: 4.5 out of 5 points In my opinion, the nova5T offers a very solid overall package that can score points both in terms of features and value for money. The nova 5T scores particularly well with me because of its excellent sound quality, long-life battery, reception in rural areas and value for money. Personally, I am not entirely convinced by the camera, which is a bit overburdened in poor lighting conditions and does not achieve the best results that would actually be possible with the settings selected. Design and workmanship: 4 out of 5 points The workmanship is of a very high standard, so there is no reason to complain. As far as the design is concerned, I find that one innovation is missing. The colour design is well known by now, which is already being copied by the competition. Personally I find the colour ‘Midsummer Purple’ very interesting, because the product name was used as a design element. For the future I hope that Huawei can come up with a new design, which can be seen as a real eye-catcher. Display: 5 out of 5 points If you think that the 6.26 inch IPS display with a resolution of 1024 x 2340 pixels is not sufficient, you will be taught a better one the first time you switch it on. The start screen chosen by Huawei is particularly effective due to the IPS display, as this type stands especially for realistic color reproduction. The color representation is very good and the brightness is very high. Battery: 5 of 5 points The 3750mAH battery convinces with a long battery life. Even if the display falls below 10%, it feels like it takes an eternity until the device switches itself off by itself. Under normal use, runtimes of about 2 days are feasible. Ultimately, the runtime depends on the selected settings and the frequency of use. Performance: 5 out of 5 points In my opinion, the performance is more than sufficient, even with audio streaming in the mobile network. A lot can be done with the device without causing a noticeable heat development. Camera: 3.5 of 5 points The photos of the main camera are convincing in good as well as bad light conditions, if one or the other trick is used. Huawei typical the camera delivers very good results in sunlight to bright conditions. There are no major differences between the individual options (AI, HDR, Normal), so in the end the user should decide according to personal preference. Unfortunately, as the light decreases, a significant increase in image noise and a decrease in image quality can be seen. Neither the Normal mode (with or without AI) nor the HDR mode can convince me. The pictures are basically usable, but the higher ISO values used in combination with the short exposure phases deprive them of better quality. If you want to get better and more usable pictures in low light, I recommend to use the Pro mode. This way I was able to display the scenes better by using lower ISO values and longer exposure times. The only disadvantage of this mode is that one has to try out some settings to find the right ones and needs a steady hand (e.g. for exposure times of 2 seconds).

I have had the pleasure of testing the Huawei nova 5T for about five weeks. Scope of delivery: The smartphone Huawei nova 5T in the colour blue, with a 128 GB memory unit, 6 GB RAM, with a fingerprint sensor, furthermore, the package contained a charger, a micro USB cable, a pair of headphones and a matching type C adapter. Hardware: The smartphone has a Kirin 980 8-core processor, a Mali76 graphics unit, 6 GB RAM and 128 GB ROM. The processor is extremely powerful for a mid-range model. The 6 GB RAM is sufficient for my needs, as is the 128 GB memory unit. However, there is no possibility to add an external memory unit. I find the Dual-Nano-Sim function very practical, which I can also use for my work. Design: The 6.26 inch display is equipped with a front camera. The resolution of the display is 2340×1080 pixels and is just brilliant in terms of performance. The blue back side has 4 cameras and can not only score with a 3D surface but also with various bluish shades. Wow! Definitely an eye-catcher! The device is also of high quality and makes a very stable impression. At first I was sceptical because of the size of 15.9 cm, but the phone fits wonderfully in the hand and with its 174 g is also very light. Cameras: The 4 cameras in the back have a maximum of 48 megapixels and provide a top resolution. The use of the various functions such as macro, wide angle and the depth lens provide excellent pictures for this price range. The performance of the front camera is sufficient. Battery: The battery is not replaceable. For my purposes, the battery power is completely sufficient and lasts for about 48 hours with average use. For a 50% recharge you need about 30 minutes. About one hour of charging is necessary for a battery level of 100%. In case of continuous high usage the device switches off after about 20 hours. Software: The Huawei nova5T is equipped with the Android 9.1 operating system and all Android apps. This device is not affected by US sanctions. Application: Setup and data transfer from the old smartphone to the Nova 5T is very easy thanks to the pre-installed Phone Clone App from Huawei. Pictures, videos, music, apps and contacts are quickly transferred. The call and sound quality is very good. All calls are clear and understandable. The music playback is excellent and very pleasant via the built-in speaker and not tinny like in some other models. Games, all other apps and films I use run smoothly in good quality. At the moment I have 80 open tabs in the browser and yet I can still netflix in a small side window without any problems. Overall conclusion: The design, the hardware, the software, the battery and above all the cameras make the Huawei nova5T a top product in my eyes. The price-performance ratio is very attractive at a price of approximately 400,- Euro. There is a lot on offer and the only thing I would describe as a shortcoming is the lack of memory expansion. I will definitely keep the smartphone and can only advise to buy it. 🙂

Design: the first impression is that it is very well made and the cameras on the back are very well integrated into the case. The borderless display with integrated front camera looks mega cool and we had to look for the camera first. Color: crush blue, very noble and very striking shape: nice rounded corners, looks very elegant Size: perfect size, fits in my hand and also fits very well without slipping Handling: it is very easy to use and can be self-explanatory Start and use Fingerprint: a great security solution, I have currently also and I use it super happy. It goes very fast and is double secured. Ambient light: I have already used it and it is mega good and much brighter than expected. Great extra. The other sensors I have to test separately. So far 1A. Processor: it’s really fast, my current phone takes a lot longer. I’m very surprised how fast the Nova 5T works and opens apps. Mega good the Kirin 980. operating system: at the moment I’m already an Android user. Only not the 9.1. it has more extras and is better to use. Can only recommend the operating system. Easy to use and also good for older people. Internal memory: 6 GB is enough for all the things you do on your phone. Front camera: very nice that it is directly integrated in the display and has a very high resolution. This ensures the Sevie function. Main camera: MEGA, didn’t know that even a mobile phone can take soooooo great pictures. 48. megapixel is of course outstanding, and then there are the 3 other cameras that help. Real colle technology. I am always happy when I can take pictures. Flash: it reacts great to light and color. Makes great pictures with flash and reacts quickly Weight: With its 174 grams it is relatively light for the size, my old one had only 5 inches. But when the new cover comes and the protective foil is on it, I think it is good to use it in daily use. Conditions 4G: super good reception and very fast it searches the desired network, but it doesn’t seem to be 5G capable yet. Verdingungen Wlan: the 5T has connected super fast with our Wlan and it runs also super without connection errors. Very fast, perfect for playing and surfing. Connections Bluethooth : BT 5.0., currently my old mobile phone has 3.0. the difference is noticeable enormously, especially with the headset or the Smartwatch. Super fast and a strong connection between both devices. USB connection: Mh, it’s a pity that it’s a different connection again, at the moment I have mini USB everywhere, so I have to change all the charging stations or change the adapters. But it is able to use the fast charging function. That is again a plus. Sim: like now everywhere fits here the Nano Sim, super easy to change the mobile phone, because Nano is present. Battery: up to now it holds super, is very quickly charged and currently holds about 2 days.

The most important thing about Huawei Nova 5T first: Google services work without any restrictions and future updates are guaranteed. Setting up and transferring from your old smartphone is very easy with the Phone Clone App, only chat apps need their own update in a cloud. Even a first update is installed right away. So the whole setup took me about one hour. The operating system is EMUI 9.1, which is based on Android 9.0. As a technology fan I am especially interested in the inner values. The Nova 5T has 5 cameras installed, a 32 megapixel selfie camera and on the back a 48 MP main camera, a 16 MP wide angle camera and two 2 MP cameras for depth information and macro shots. Of course I also use communication apps, games and music/video streaming. When listening to music, I notice the missing headphone jack, normally I use a Bluetooth ANC headphone, but for emergencies USB-C headphones and an adapter are included, so even old headphones can be used without problems. A screen protection foil is already standard. I like the sharp and colorful 6.26′ display with the Hole Punch camera, it is not noticeable in everyday life. Watching movies and series on the go is fun with the Full HD Plus resolution with 2340×1080 px and even in bright surroundings everything is clearly visible. For taking pictures: Thanks to the Kirin 980 processor, 6 GB RAM and AI, the subject is quickly recognised, the right cameras selected and the perfect photo is ready. Portraits in particular are outstandingly beautiful, the face is displayed sharply and the background blurs slightly (Bokeh effect), so the main motif is always shown in the right light. Post-processing is still possible, but rarely necessary. On the road, the ultra wide angle lens is there for great photos, so whole landscapes are captured and even portraits are great pictures. The 48 MP in ‘Extra Sharp’ mode is only achieved with still subjects with lots of light and a long shooting time, so it’s not for snapshots, but the subjects can be seen. For daily use: The fingerprint sensor is now housed in the power button and took a bit of getting used to for two days, as I used the back sensor in my Mate 10 lite. Face recognition also works very quickly. Wiping, typing, zooming, everything without delay, even switching between different apps works smoothly. NFC for fast connections or contactless payment are on board, as well as Bluetooth 5.0 for Smartwatch and headphones. A negative aspect is the very slippery back on smooth surfaces, so never put it on sloping surfaces. Conclusion: price and performance are right here, the 3750 mAh battery lasts up to two days and with 128 GB memory there is also enough room for photos and videos. Tip at the end, as there are no suitable cases available yet, the TPU cases of Horor 20 also fit.

I’ve had the new Huawei Nova 5T for almost 3 weeks now. My last smartphones were also from Huawei, because I am convinced by the handling and the price-performance ratio. Due to its slim design, the Nova 5T fits well in the hand and can be easily reached with the thumb in the middle and lower part of the display. The four main cameras on the back with 48, 16 and 2 x 2 megapixels stand out slightly. This could be perceived as somewhat disturbing from a haptic point of view if you don’t use a protective cover. However, the common protective covers make up for this difference and create a flat back in which the four lenses are well protected. The display area extended over the entire display. Above left is the 32 megapixel front camera. When using the standard display function, the camera creates a ‘hole’ in the display, which in itself is not really disturbing, as it only appears at the upper left edge of the screen. But by setting the ‘Notch’ function in the display menu, this can be avoided. Here, a black bar is drawn at the upper edge, whereby the front camera does not catch the eye anymore. At the right side of the camera, the standard information as network- / wlan-reception and if necessary, some message symbols appear. The phone can be unlocked with a 6-digit PIN, the fingerprint scanner on the side of the phone and the face recognition software. I use the fingerprint in combination with face recognition. And just now in the cool temperatures in combination with gloves I am very surprised about the reliability of these functions. The internal memory of 128 GB is sufficient for my needs. The 6.26 inch display is big enough and optimal for my needs. The colours are rich and vibrant, which is very important to me, especially when it comes to pictures and videos. I am really enthusiastic about the pictures! When using the portrait function, a kind of 3-D effect is sometimes created in which the person(s) in the foreground are shown to their best advantage. Unfortunately, the Nova 5T does not have a 3.5 jack plug for headphones. However, an adapter for the Type C USB port is included in the scope of delivery, which has a jack plug. When charging with different type C USB cables, I have not been able to beat the ‘1 hour charging time’. I often use streaming services to watch series on my smartphone. This consumes of course a lot of battery. Therefore I usually had to charge the phone every 1.5 days. All in all, I am convinced of the Nova T5 and can only recommend it.

The new Nova 5T, it fits the hand very well. That was the first surprise for me. Because of the MS, I have little problems with my hands and I got on well with the nova 5T. The set-up went very well – as you know it from Huaweii. I was particularly impressed with the camera. At a concert I was able to take such beautiful photos as I haven’t been able to do for a long time. I was thrilled by the zoom, the colours are so vivid and clear. Only with the night shot I just could not cope. Pro – The great camera with the zoom and the close-up (Megatoll) – The battery, despite the many uses AND the Bluetooth, the battery keeps the whole day – The memory is very fast. – The colours are brilliant – The phone is very light and fits very well in the hand – NFC responded perfectly, even better than on my S8 – Bluetooth is recognized quickly and well No matter what device. All handsfree kits (VW, Skoda, Mercedes and Audi) recognized the phone immediately. The pairing ran without problems. – The loudspeakers are very good. The music sounds full and the sound is neither tinny nor metallic. – The fingerprint sensor reacts very well, even when I cut myself, it recognized me. In a case, you can use the sensor (which is on the side) very well. Nevertheless, the sensor is well protected. No bending of the fingers. – The call quality is good, everything works smoothly. Contra – The night mode At a birthday party we wanted to try it, but it didn’t work out so well. Unfortunately I’m too stupid for that. Even after 6 weeks I still do not understand the function. Conclusion: A really great mobile phone that I can even operate as a severely handicapped person. Also the sprack function is great. It supports me in almost all areas AND it makes fantastic photos. Of course there is a lot of play. But it is fun. Now I don’t have to carry a camera AND a mobile phone around with me (which is a great relief for a wheelchair user). Now I can take photos spontaneously and quickly. I can quickly capture memories. I was allowed to test the mobile phone via the Insiders and for me it has become a real gift. I can only recommend it to everyone. Of course you have to deal with the mobile phone, as with any technology. But Huaweii has already made it very easy for us.

HUAWEI nova 5T (128 GB/6 GB RAM) in CrashBlue Dual-SIM I bought the Nova 5T because I always like to try out new technology, but also pay attention to the price. I have been using smartphones since the xda mini, i.e. since about 2005. I am very familiar with IOS and Android. The most exciting thing for me is to find out how 6 months old high-end hardware now performs in a middle class smartphone. The Nova 5T comes in an elegant white modern high quality box. The entire front of the Nova5t is practically the display. There is a so-called punch hole for the front camera. A notification LED is also present. The glass back shimmers and changes its blue color depending on the incidence of light. The first time you start it, you’re asked if you want to transfer data from another device. Very good! The move should be easy… What surprised me positively was an update to 9.1.0.166 with September Patch. For the technical interested: there is already a beta for EMUI 10 (Android 10). So the update should be there soon. Before buying it, it was important to me that Google services are installed on the device. Since photography is my hobby I was very curious about the camera. With bright light there are great pictures. Especially macros and wide angle work very well. The camera releases slowly and when zooming I miss the image stabilizer. You have to have some practice and/or a quite steady hand, but then it works quite well. With a software update Huawei could optimize the camera app. I am really enthusiastic about the Nova 5t’s quick-loading function. It’s really fun. The battery also lasts really long. You can get through the day easily. Maybe two, but now that the device is new, you always have it in your hand 🙂 The built-in processor and memory is very fast. Programs start without delay. Copying files: in no time. Everything runs smoothly. The fingerprint sensor is very fast. At the beginning at a somewhat unfamiliar place! I also find Dual-SIM very practical, because I can use a cheap data card. Included in the scope of delivery are wired in-ear headphones, which are connected via the charging jack. There is no jack plug connection. But there is an adapter included. My conclusion: a super mobile phone. Price-performance ratio fits

After more and more acquaintances and friends raved about Huawei, I urgently had to satisfy my curiosity. It was important to me that an update continues to take place. The nova 5T fulfils this requirement with Android Version 9.1, so everything can be used as usual. After transferring my contacts and files, the first thing I did was to set up the fingerprint sensor and face recognition. I have had rather negative experiences with other devices in this respect and was curious to see if it would be different this time. My not too high expectations were completely exceeded! I’ve never been able to unlock a smartphone so easily and access my messages so quickly as with this fingerprint sensor! It is located on the lock button on the right side of the screen and is super easy to reach. Also the face recognition works brilliantly, despite glasses, but thanks to the sensor I am too lazy to wipe… The size is perfect, it fits well in the hand even with small hands. The battery lasts the whole day without any problems and I even managed to spend 2 days with one charge, now it is 10 pm and the battery shows 15% for the first time. I couldn’t remember that I managed to do this with any other smartphone. But if it is empty, that is no problem. Within 30 minutes, the battery gets 50%! Concerning the photo shootings I want to emphasize the portrait mode, with this setting you can take really great pictures. I personally don’t like the normal mode that much, my pictures of moving subjects were often blurred. But if you want to take pictures in low light, this smartphone is a good choice, because the cameras do a great job! The memory capacity reaches its limits with many pictures and videos and is not expandable, but the nova 5T dual Sim is capable of it. I consider the (missing) volume of the phone to be a personal drawback. Anyone who often listens to voice messages will probably notice that, even at low ambient noise levels, it is difficult to listen to them completely without holding the loudspeaker to your ear. Unfortunately I could not find out if this is a subjective impression in my research. All in all, this smartphone is more than worth its price and I can only recommend it highly!

Much too bad for a hull! This is my opinion about the great design of the Huawei Nova 5T. In Crush Blue, this smartphone looks so incredibly classy that at first I looked more at the back than at the display. Great effect and a nice color! But the rest is also convincing. The front is almost completely covered by the display, there are no buttons and only a small frame. In the upper corner the front camera catches the eye. On the sides are the buttons for quick operation. Very fast and reliable is the fingerprint sensor on the side, which I like better than one in the display. Just this 15.9 cm (6.26 inch) Punch FullView display is state of the art and offers a resolution of up to 2340 x 1080 px, 412 ppi. The installed Android 9 operating system has been perfectly adapted and offers very nice, additional functions. Such as a time-controlled switching off and on of the phone, an adjustment of the color tones in the display and many more. The benchmark has shown that the Nova 5T offers more performance than most other smartphones. The built-in Kirin 980 octa-core processor can hardly break a sweat and is perfectly supported by the 6GB Ram. Even the latest 3D mobile games are played perfectly, with all effects and without jerking. Those who like to play on the go, can access here calmly. The front camera takes decent pictures and is supported by a great app. A highlight are the 4 cameras on the back, which take high-resolution pictures. Especially praiseworthy is the speed with which the camera starts, releases and processes pictures. So nothing stands in the way of a quick snapshot. I am also very pleased with the battery. It easily lasts a day and that with permanent use. Only when playing for a longer time the battery gives in quickly. What is missing to the top class? Display size, a bit more RAM and a larger battery. Conclusion: A modern smartphone at a very fair price, which is aimed at gamers as well as the normal user and the hobby photographer. Modern mobile games are perfectly reproduced and the gaming fun is unbroken. Thanks to the future promise of Huawei a clear recommendation to buy. The nova 5T was made available at a reduced price as part of a product test campaign.

I am very satisfied with my new Huawei nova 5t. I have sorted my review a bit: OPERATING SYSTEM: The most important thing first – even with the new nova 5t you don’t have to make any concessions as an Android user. The popular Google services have been there from the start. CONVINCING EXTERIOR: a really noble surface on the back changes colour depending on the incidence of light. The 6.26 inch IPS display with a full HD resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels gets by without notch and has only a small border. Colors are displayed very realistically due to the great display and the viewing angle stability is remarkable. The fingerprint sensor is now located on the side, which is rather unusual for Huawei. However, you quickly get used to it and it works great. CAMERA WONDER: The nova 5t is equipped with a quadruple AI camera. The 48 megapixel daylight resolution of the main camera is a real highlight, with which you can make wonderful HD shots. Another great feature that was already available in Huawe’s previous models is the ultra-wide-angle camera, which produces images at 16 MP. The AI technology brings out the best in every picture. The smartphone recognizes whether landscape or certain objects are being photographed and adjusts the settings to the best possible effect. Not to forget, there is also a 32 MP Selfie camera, which is also very convincing. As with other brands and models, the back is not flat because of the cameras. If you have a protective cover, the problem is eliminated. Without it, however, the mobile phone wobbles on surfaces, e.g. if you have it on the table. BATTERY BATTERY: The nova 5t has a capacity of 3,750 mAh and lasts for approx. 1.5 days if used heavily, including games. Using the SuperCharge system with 22.5 W, half of the battery is recharged after just half an hour. CONCLUSION: Huawei and the nova 5t really convinced me. For me personally, the super camera is the absolute highlight and a definite purchase criterion. You quickly get used to the new position of the fingerprint sensor. Good overall package for a very good, fair price.

First of all, to fight against rumors, the new Huawei Nova 5T has the Android version 9.1 and will continue to be updated in the future. Accordingly, you can, as usual, use Google completely. The first impression of the Nova 5T already convinces with its visual appearance. The 6.26′ LC display (Liquid Crystal Display) has a resolution of 2340 x 1080 px. Yes, the layman thinks: ‘Beautiful! And what does that tell me?’. The display dissolves in HD and shows recorded photos in perfect sharpness. The colours and contrast are harmonious and very real, which brings us straight to the camera. The selfies show you all the details. Even a small pimple does not remain hidden. The cameras leave only positive impressions. Yes, I’m writing about the majority of them, because there are several built in to get the best results for your shots. The Nova 5T also copes very well with night shots. While other mid-range smartphones add to the frustration with ‘rushing photos’, owners will love their new phone. Videos in 4K resolution are of course also possible and are already standard. The Nova 5T’s 174 g is perfectly crafted and it fits the hand very well. My favourite colour blue gives it the finishing touch. The unlocking process should take some getting used to for some users. The sensor is located to the right of the display, which I welcome, because I can unlock the device very easily with my thumb, which is also successful with every press. By using the Kirin 980 processor, the 6 GB RAM and the interaction of EMUI 9.1, the handling of this product is really fun, because opening apps or scrolling on the screen is done fluently. The battery with a capacity of 3750 mAh ensures that you can get through the day without any problems. And with 128GB of internal memory, there’s plenty of room for photos, videos and music. All major mobile networks up to 4G are supported. Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, WiFi 2.4G and 5G are also available. The sound and voice quality are good. Conclusion: The price-performance ratio of the Huawei Nova 5T is unbeatable for the upper middle class.

The Huawei Nova T5 does some things right, but weakens at one point or another. Of course it cannot be compared with a device of the upper class but certain things should simply be standard. As usual, the Huawei Nova T5 can be set up very quickly and you are ready to go. The first thing you notice is that the fingerprint sensor is no longer placed in the display itself, but on the side. This works perfectly, but it’s a bit annoying that the smartphone vibrates every time you use it. The seat of the front camera, which is now located in the upper left corner, is also unusual. Overall, the pictures taken with both the front and the main camera are quite good, but don’t come close to those of premium smartphones. The smartphone itself looks a bit cheap and is very slippery. Starting and using the apps works fine, though. They are loaded very quickly and run smoothly. Even when streaming music or videos, assuming good internet access, works perfectly. As usual with Huawei, the missing 3.5mm jack connector is a bit bitter. Is it not possible to charge the smartphone and use a headset at the same time, which can’t be connected via Bluetooth. But it is good that it is equipped with a USB-C connection. The display also reacts very well to fingertips and movements, even with the bullet-proof glass protection foil applied. 128 GB of internal memory is certainly sufficient for most users. However, if you want to store music and videos on the go and take lots of pictures, the possibility of a speaker extension would have been desirable. Unfortunately, this was waived. Instead it allows the possibility of using two SIM cards on one smartphone. So it is also perfect for travelling, if you want to use a foreign SIM card besides the German one. The Nova T5’s battery performance also convinces with a good range and fast charging. Conclusion: The Nova T5 is well equipped for a mid-range smartphone, works perfectly and offers good battery performance. Merely the lack of memory expansion options and the lack of a 3.5mm jack socket are the only negative points.

The Huawei Nova 5T looks quite compact despite its size of 6.26 inches thanks to the narrow edges. The display already has a protective foil applied, which is a small edge and thus somewhat annoying. The blue iridescent back of my Crush Blue variant is a real eye-catcher and much too bad to hide it under a cover. Unfortunately, it is also very susceptible to fingerprints, a pity of all high-gloss surfaces. A minus point for me is that this Huawei Smartphone is again not waterproof. It is very important that Google services are fully functional on this smartphone and that this is guaranteed for the future. The setup of the Huawei Nova 5T is very easy, especially if you already know the intuitive handling of Huawei from other models like I do. The fingerprint sensor on the side is easy to reach with your thumb and very reliable. The face recognition software was a bit wobbly and needed two tries even in good light conditions. As a mum who is on the road a lot, I often have to be quick and so I like the quick charge function. In less than 2 hours I have fully charged the battery and it lasts with over one day with full use also quite long. The display is bright and sharp, no OLEDs but a good Full HD display with IPS technology. The processor is fast enough for the usual surfing and even good games run wobbly. In daylight, the 4 main cameras on the back and the Selfi camera on the upper left of the display take decent pictures. Especially the macro, wide angle and bokeh pictures are worth seeing. At night, or in bad light conditions, the exposure time is very long, which can lead to wobbling, but the photos are still ok. With the protruding camera on the back, you have to be careful when putting it down that the smartphone is not damaged at this point. Here an extra protective cover is worthwhile. Moreover, it lies a little wobbly on the back due to this unevenness. Unfortunately the memory is not expandable, so I have to pay attention regularly to download photos and videos to the computer, because I do a lot of them.

As a long-time product tester of Huawei phones I have the pleasure again! Since about 7 weeks I use the Nova 5T in black. It is like all Huawei phones very well manufactured. The phone feels very valuable. The glass surface is reflecting nicely. Optically it is a very nice phone that fits well in the hand. Especially I would like to emphasize integration of the fingerprint sensor in the main switch of the phone. This is integrated into the case on the right side somewhat recessed. The HI-Suite software for Mac OS does not work with Catalina. This is a pity, but not tragic. I transfer pictures and videos via a cloud service. The software provided by Huawei allows an automatic backup to external media and works great via Wlan. I use the phone for Twitter, mail, pictures, videos and surfing the internet. The battery lasts for 3 days without any problems. The battery charges super fast. In just half an hour it is half fully charged. The phone has 4! cameras. In the standard setting the main camera takes pictures with 12 megapixels. These are easily enough for my needs. The pictures are between 2 and 5 MB in size and can be uploaded in my forum without having to download them ,) If you set the camera to the possible 48 megapixels high, the pictures will be 15 MB and larger. During the day the pictures will all be very good. The software takes care of the exposure, sharpness etc. so that even I can always get good pictures and videos. Only at twilight / darkness the pictures do not become so good. Despite night mode, I find the quality not so good. Videos work well and the software forgives wobbling while filming. The videos are still fluid and it is very easy to zoom in and out while filming. On the phone is still an Android including google integration installed, because the phone was made before the embargo. Secretly I was hoping to get the first version of the own operating system from Huawei 🙂 My conclusion: For the money you get a really great phone here. I can definitely recommend the Nova 5T.

In this review I would like to report about the HUAWEI nova 5T. I have been using smartphones for many years and I am always very excited when new features are introduced. The HUAWEI nova 5T was very exciting for me with the new camera. The first impression is the most important one. The HUWEI nova 5T made a very good one. It lies very well in the hand, is light and has a decent size. HUAWEI’s own operating system, ‘EMUI’, brings many new features with it. Right from the start there are important apps, such as a weather app, an e-mail app, which can be used as an inbox for the different e-mail providers and a browser. As mentioned in the second section before, I was attracted by the HUAWEI nova 5T with the new camera. It has four cameras, each of which has different functions. I was particularly attracted to the wide-angle camera and macro camera. With the wide-angle camera you can take wonderful wide-angle pictures to capture moments even better. With the macro camera, you can take very good close-ups without blurring the image like on other smartphones. The pictures taken with the 48 megapixel camera are of very good quality. The 128GB of internal memory is sufficient to store pictures, videos and numerous apps. The 6GB RAM is very well suited to play performance-heavy games. The apps can also create more temporary files so that they run smoother and faster. However, the RAM is shared so that it is not completely filled. The new fingerprint sensor works even better and faster than on the previous HUAWEI smartphones. It can be used to unlock the device and some apps and make payments. The battery life has also increased considerably, but if it runs out after many hours, the improved quick-charge function is an advantage. It only takes half an hour to three quarters of an hour before the battery is fully charged again. My conclusion about this device: My opinion is that you can definitely buy it. The numerous new functions were very convincing in the test.

I have been testing the Huawei Nova 5T smartphone for a few weeks now. In the package was Smartphone itself, a charger, the sim tool to insert the sim card and a quick guide. Directly after unpacking it could start immediately. With the sim tool insert the sim card and switch on. Right after the start you could set up your smartphone very easily and thanks to my Google account you could also transfer data from the old to the new device. Afterwards I took a closer look at the smartphone, especially the valuable housing and the large display caught my attention immediately. Also the rear camera, which protrudes over the housing and the not existing home button. While using the device, I missed the home button at first, but after a certain time of changeover, the operation works perfectly. The software of the device, which is based on Android 9, is extended with the user interface of Huawei called EMUI 9.1. At the time of delivery, this constellation works flawlessly and smoothly on the smartphone. I hope it will continue to work this way, even if an update to version 10 is planned in the near future. Furthermore I have noticed the quality of the taken pictures. Since I now own the Smartphone, I have taken many photos in different situations, thanks to the large internal memory of 128MB they also find space on the device. The battery of the device is currently sufficient for more than one day, but for a new device I would have wished a battery life of at least 2 days. It remains to hope that the battery will last at least one day in the future. Conclusion: I was positively surprised by the device. The workmanship is very good and the software works flawlessly. I am rather critical about the size of the device, it is too big for my pocket. For this, as well as for the, in my opinion, somewhat too small battery, I deduct a star in the evaluation.

In the context of a product test I was allowed to test the Huawei Nova 5T. With a smartphone I attach great importance to a good camera and was of course very curious how the Huawei will perform. The Huawei Nova 5T makes a very good optical impression and is very well made. Thanks to the rounded corners, it lies very well in the hand with a size of 6.26 inches. The screen delivers intense colors and is still easy to read even in sunlight. The almost borderless display has a very good resolution and I really like its look. Setting up the smartphone is very easy as you are guided step by step through the menu. You can transfer your data and files from your old smartphone to the new one without any problems. Setting up the fingerprint is quick and easy. It is located on the side of the device and reacts very quickly when unlocked. The camera has 3 lenses and takes really great photos, which is very important for me personally. The individual setting options are very versatile. Video recordings run super, the results convince me. The battery lasts the whole day under high load. Thanks to the quick charge function, the Huawei is fully charged in 1.5 hours according to the manufacturer. The processor is very fast thanks to the 6 GB RAM and lets all programs run smoothly. In any case, I didn’t have any ‘hang ups’ with my games. Thanks to the large memory of 128 GB you have enough space for your data and programs. This is completely sufficient for me. However, an extension is not possible. Apps react very fast when opening and closing. To connect headphones, an adapter is needed, which is included with the device (type-C to 3.5 mm headphone jack adapter). In conclusion, I can say that the Huawei Nova 5t is a very successful smartphone. The price is quite acceptable and I can highly recommend it.

Thanks to the tester platform Insiders I was allowed to test the Huawei Nova 5T. In order not to list again the numerous facts and technical data, which surely everyone who has dealt with this smartphone knows, I will limit myself to the experiences I made. Design / Finish: The Nova 5T is elegantly and cleanly designed, finally without the nasty display cropping in the upper area. The borderless FullView display offers full experience whether playing games, streaming or instagram. The antenna lines are discreetly concealed on the side, as is customary with Huawei, so they don’t disturb the overall picture. The workmanship is impeccable. No clattering, no creaking or crunching. Technology: Thanks to the Phone Clone app, the Nova 5T is set up quickly and easily as always, and the installation and setting up of your favourite apps is a snap. As usual, the user interface is simply structured and easy to customize. The Nova 5T is convincing in its daily performance. It works quickly and without dropouts, even when many applications are open at the same time. Special attention should be paid to the front camera, which is discreetly integrated into the display. The main camera is now even more precise and finely tuned, can recognise scenes independently and can make smart settings automatically. Many setting options offer a large repertoire for great shots. Also worth mentioning is the truly bombastic battery performance, which never reached its limit even on days of massive use. Should this be the case, the quick charge function is of great advantage. I haven’t dared to use the NFC, which is an important feature in times of contactless payment, yet. My conclusion: All in all an absolutely convincing smartphone at a good price.

Thanks to The Insiders I could test the Huawai Nova 5 t. For a better overview I have not classified this report in any categories. First of all: As a (faithful) iPhone owner I dared to do it and bought an Android device. But I can say: I like the Huawai Nova 5t very much! Look: I have the device in the color blue. So it looks very modern and is also a real eye-catcher! There are no buttons in the front, because the display goes all the way to the edges. Even the camera is included in the display. Camera: In my opinion, the camera is one of the most important things on a smartphone. The Nova5t has 4 more cameras besides the front camera. With them you can take really great pictures. Apart from all the special functions such as portrait and night mode, I like the focusing best. It works very fast and without problems. So you can get very nice pictures especially with close-ups. Handling: The device lies well in the hand. The power button is on the right side at ‘thumb height’, so that one can unlock the smartphone very comfortably by fingerprint. The finger sensor works very reliably and lightning fast. The general operation is also easy. The mobile phone does not ‘jerk’ during use. On the contrary, the use runs very smoothly and smoothly. Battery: The built-in battery makes a very powerful impression on me. In practical tests the battery lasted almost 2 days with normal use! The charging time is about 45 minutes due to the power charging. Conclusion: All in all, the new Huawai Nova 5t makes an excellent impression and is a clear recommendation to buy, especially because of the price-performance ratio.

My previous smartphone was also very good, but on this one the memory space was very limited. Especially with a small child you want to take spontaneous snapshots, so a good camera and enough memory for my new smartphone was very important to me. The first impression of the Huawei Nova 5T in black was very good. It looks timelessly chic and elegantly slim and fits very well in the hand. The display appears in sharp, vibrant colors when first switched on. I like the resolution of the display very much. Another plus point is that a protective film was already attached to the display. This is not a prerequisite for me, but it is another delicacy worth mentioning. The fast and solid processor (Kirin 980) is another plus point. So far, the smartphone runs quickly and reliably without any ‘hangs’. This processor is currently used in the top models of Huawei. The battery lasts about two days under normal use (internet, games, news, phone calls, taking pictures) and is half charged within about half an hour. The Nova 5T’s memory is well-dimensioned with 128 GB. The camera is my absolute highlight: It takes very nice, razor-sharp pictures with intense colors and great contrasts. Even when zooming in on the picture, you can see every little feature or blemish, which I think is very positive. I am very happy and satisfied with my new, powerful Nova 5T. The forthcoming Christmas celebrations can come and are naturally captured with my new, great camera.
