Theoretically a very good mobile phone. Works very fast, but LG’s Snapdragon 855 has been throttled down a bit to avoid heat generation and is slower compared to other flagships. In my opinion, the placement of the fixed keys takes a lot of getting used to. The gesture recognition is a nice gimmick that works well here and there, but is actually completely superfluous. Google Assistant key… who needs it, unfortunately you can’t change the function of the key. The sound of the stereo speakers is fine, but it could be a little lurking. Fingerprint sensor, FaceUnlock works perfectly and super fast. The display is razor sharp, the colours are very good and the brightness is perfectly acceptable (60% brightness in living rooms). The Ip68 certification and the GorillaGlass 6, as well as the very good workmanship are definitely to be commended. The enclosed silicone case is also well made. Unfortunately, there are no especially nice accessories available. The biggest deficit and the reason for me to send it back are the cameras. They are a bad joke for a UVP800Euro mobile phone. Even in good light conditions the Selfie camera is blurred at a slight zoom and details in the background are lost. The portrait function is despite the second front camera no better than with other mobile phones that do this via software. In the dark the pictures are complete for the ton. It’s similar with the main kaneras, in good light they are halfway usable (also here many details in the depth get lost), but in the dark it’s better to leave the thing in your pocket. Filming in FHD, as well as audio quality are ok and the slow motion mode is really funny. Also the other gadgets that come with it are nice if the pictures are good. Wireless charging works fine, wired charging takes about 2 hours. For 300Euro I would have probably recommended the device, but even for the reduced 400Euro you get much better devices, where you might have to do without Ip68 and stereo sound, but the rest is just much better. It’s a real pity, basically the LG G8s is a very good device with very good features, but the camera ruined my pleasure with it. But if you don’t care about the camera, you should be happy with the device.

I thought I would give LG a chance. In the run-up I liked the specs quite well. SD 855, IP68, no edge display, handy, stereo speaker, 3,5 jack, and much more. With a price of 350€ a very good package. But the disillusionment came very quickly after the start of operation. Display: The display seemed to me somehow cheap. Yes it is Amoled. But the colours weren’t great and the display had a black spot in the middle. As if it wasn’t lit all over. Monday device? Camera: Can’t convince. I don’t really expect much. But the pictures looked really blurred. Sound: Alright. But nothing special despite stereo. Battery: One day use is possible. Nothing more. Unless you use the device only sporadically. Software: Here we come to the biggest negative point in my opinion. What LG does with the software here is a mystery to me. Despite Snapdragon 855 and UFS 2.1 memory, the device does not feel fluid. It jerks with the simplest things like surfing, Facebook. That simply can’t be. I mean I don’t gamble on my mobile phone. That’s why an 855 would easily do. But you just don’t know it’s built in. Plus, the device was installed at. It’s really warm in here. Android security patch was January 2020, is OK, but the fact that LG wanted to play with the device in the upper class is rather sobering, and still no Android 10! What I found fault with were the at least 15! Preinstalled and uninstallable apps. This does not mean Google services but apps like McAfee, Instagram etc. It’s great that the manufacturer gets money for this and the end customer has to endure it. Just as annoying were the LG unnecessary apps. Also not uninstallable. What’s with the LG? Miscellaneous: To position the on and off button so modestly is a real art. Google Assistant extra button so unnecessary. Conclusion: I wouldn’t even recommend the device for the reduced price. But that’s just my opinion. Goes back.

I can only agree with the reviews in which they say that the LG does not deserve the often negative reviews. That is so. I have just bought this smartphone and I am totally surprised what it can do. The 4K videos are awesome, and the photos are above average for my applications. For the people who expect photos from the smartphone that are similar to a reflex camera, they should get one. I think the ones from the G8s are top. One must say that the currently offered price for a SP in the upper class range is so great that you should buy two of them. I have always been a HUAWEI supporter and have decided because of the political situation and also the price policy for the G8s. I hope to have as much luck as I had with the HUAWEIs and I am happy about the really great photos, the 4K videos and the great sound this device makes. My son already had the G4 and currently the G6 and is more than happy with it. The G4 still works perfectly and is one of the absolute top smartphones from LG. I can only recommend this SP at the moment and will keep you informed if anything changes. But I believe that this will not be the case. Simply only GOOD the part…

We my wife and I myself our son only use LG Smartfon’s my first G3 our son got from me because he needs a second one and I got the G5 my wife had a Samsung and a HTC before she got the G4 and that still runs until now the new ones are lying since 07.10. 19 ready to be set up but only when the mobile phone covers (flap pockets) are there because you need them with such noble mobile phones (the box was already opened out of curiosity) still a comment on a customer review because of the pixel error you should always read the manual carefully first. in addition can come aussedem is that an OLED screen that is to be enjoyed with caution so that one has long fun and Freud because simply switching on and running is the death of the screen (I work since 1992 with computer and the corresponding technology have me only in June a complete AMD Ryzen PC with TR4 socket together built so I know what the technology can and what not) that only in passing noticed we are already looking forward to the new and will have ourewn fun

I have always been a Sony fan, I find the new formats impossible. Narrow and long. Everybody’s cheering for Samsung, so I got myself one too. The Galaxy S10. Big, big mistake. Performance just average, handling not so great thanks to the rounded display. But the worst thing are the Samsung forced apps including the Samsung App Store. It doesn’t get any worse. Now I have the LG G8 S ThinQ. Yay, the best I’ve had so far. Performance, handling, display and workmanship are great and it looks good, too. I like to play games and the Samsung likes to hang itself up and get very warm, which is good when you go to the Arctic. The LG stays cool and runs like a Porsche.

Hello dear ones, I wonder how these good reviews come about ? Either my claim is too big on a 400€ device or these ladies and gentlemen have never really had a very good smartphone in the hand, so I have nothing to complain about the optics, the speed is also very good, smooth when changing apps but now it comes the camera is really very bad ………a pity actually ………and something else after the set up Hang the LG several times on ……..went back again ………for 400€ simply too expensive ……..

I needed a new Smartphone, because my old one didn’t work anymore. Until now I’ve only had Samsung and I’m very fond of the LG menu. Delivery worked fine. The phone does what it’s supposed to. The display is brilliant, responds very quickly. The sound is good. The battery lasts very long. Still half-full after three days. Good, except for talking and surfing I haven’t done anything else. I still have to test the camera. But so far I am very satisfied.

A very good &amp, cheap smartphone. However, the camera has faded a bit. Had G6 before where the photos are much sharper. TIP: if you take pictures in manual mode, the pictures are sharper in detail. The photos in self mode are ok. I hope LG will improve the photo quality, although I think that a system update could improve the quality of the pictures, as I think it’s the software.

I’m not a hack so I’ll keep it short and sweet. Best of all: Thanks to 6GB of memory, the phone is fast and easy to use, even in the house 4G network reception which didn’t work with the Samsung Note 4. Fast WLAN everywhere where available Camera and pictures of the Note 4 were better but I am satisfied Horny optics, first-class workmanship and battery lasts long LG Maik

It was a bit sectarian at first because LG Smartphone was not read very well, but the G8s is really a very good smartphone with very good reception, no matter if G4 or WiFi! The display is OLED means excellent contrast and realistic photo display. The camera is beyond any doubt. I can only recommend the G8s for the very good price/performance ratio!

The mobile phone is the absolute hammer, games like COD Mobile, Pubg Mobile, Black Desert run with the highest graphic settings without any FPS drops. The camera is very good and in general I like the whole look of the phone very much. The only thing I changed was the keyboard, there I used an IOs 13 theme. I highly recommend the LG to anyone!

Unfortunately I am not satisfied with the device because I have problems with the network in AT. With other devices like Samsung or Huawei I get LTE network and VOLTE voice quality easily and without problems. With the LG I have to set up manually or search for the LTE network? I have tried with 3 network and TMob-AT.for me not acceptable.

The display is not comparable to Samsung phones, the colours look a little pale and can’t be changed by the settings, the sound is ok, the handling is ok, the battery lasts for 2 days with moderate use, with heavy use the battery is empty after one day. Those who can do it should rather invest a few euros more in another model.

Cons: Fixed battery. If you use a memory card, you cannot insert a second SIM card. The smartphone is quite heavy. Holding it in your hand for a long time can become joking at some point. Therefore a star deduction. Advantages: Good display like all LG G…, good workmanship, good looks, good haptics, the memory is big enough.

The phone is easy to use, haven’t had an LG yet, but you’ll get the hang of it soon. It’s fast, nice, big. In original packaging a protective cover also inside. To be honest, I haven’t tried out all the functions yet, but the Kamara/Internet/Filmschau/widgets/Self-design/function keys… They are all super usable. It’s fun.

After a long time of thinking and comparing back and forth I decided for this phone, I would do it again. Just the right thing for my needs, the camera is top and the handling is quite easy and uncomplicated. The surfing speed is completely ok (I am not a smartphone junkie), so the battery lasts for about 3 days.

This phone is a Christmas present. For this price a must. I think the gift will go down well. Too bad there aren’t enough sleeves to go with it. Most do not fit because there is a different size of mobile phone in the USA. The manufacturer should think about that. Otherwise it is a great phone.

The LG G8s is an absolute high end device. Processing, battery power and equipment everything fits. Only the camera is a big disappointment. The pictures look blurred, always soft in the background. For this reason I will part with the device after half a year of use.

Great mobile phone !! After the google debacle at Huawei I was looking for a good mobile phone at a top price and found it in the LG . If you take a closer look at the technical features you will soon realize that something comparable for this price is hard to find.
