I have owned and extensively tested many mobile phones. The S10, the P30 Pro, the OnePlus 7 Pro to name but a few. Now I have reached Oppo Reno through the Alternate offer and what can I say… what Oppo offers here in the price-performance sector is phenomenal. The device comes super packed, with headphones, protective cover and quick charger. A protective foil is also included (but I take it off quickly with all devices).
The mobile phone itself looks extremely valuable and the Ocean Green is a more than interesting colour that varies depending on the incidence of light. The handling is also very pleasant due to the roughened frame and the slightly blunt back. I was particularly pleased that the camera does not protrude from the housing. The setup and first operation in the ColorOS system, which is strange to me, is quite easy from the mobile phone. The menu navigation is completely in German and very clearly arranged. Even though I haven’t had an Android 10 update yet, I am very satisfied with the current system, based on Android 9. The fullscreen display offers a very good and in my eyes realistic color reproduction. The temperature can be regulated individually between cold and warm. The white and black values are very good and for example put the Axon 10 Pro clearly in the shade. Here you lie on top of Xiaomi and Huawei right away. The edges of the display are kept very narrow and are even a bit smaller than those of the Xiaomi Mi 9t.
The performance of the system is very fluid despite the weak processor and there are no jerking. Even less complex games can be played without restrictions. With Fortnite or other graphics-intensive games the phone naturally goes down on its knees. The camera is quite usable for this price and can be compared with the Xiaomi Mi 9. Although you have to do without the wide-angle lens, the basic and zoom lenses do a good job. During the day, there is little noise and good colour rendition (not as saturated as with the Xiaomi). The night shots leave a lot to be desired, of course. What I find negative is that the flash for the main camera also sits in the pop-up camera and this has to be extended for a photo with flash. The Selfie shark camera is an eye-catcher. It makes solid selfies and is good to use during the day. Of course, it doesn’t come close to the high-end devices of Huawei and Samsung.
The mono speaker is very loud but offers hardly any bass. It is certainly enough to watch movies or listen to voicemails. It’s certainly not suitable for music.

The bottom line is that the Oppo Reno in this price segment is the best for m
