I urgently needed a new smartphone and have tested several different brands. Although I’m not really a friend of Samsung, I got stuck with the Galaxy A40. It’s just nice and small for the display size, has a great display and it works great. Fast processor, plenty of RAM and memory, works with two sim cards and additional SD memory card, not like most devices, 2 sims or one sim and memory card. OK, the first impression was sobering from the design of the icons. Looked a bit like painting by numbers or more like a kid’s smartphone. Luckily, all this can be changed and adjusted. Actually, everything can be adjusted according to your own wishes. The workmanship makes a valuable impression. Concerning the reception, I’m not quite so convinced yet, as my predecessor had shown more bars for the network at the same place. This does not have to be due to the device. The rear side is very sensitive due to its high gloss and when placed on the desk it got two scratches directly into the case before the protective cover was on. A pity. Otherwise a really good and reasonable smartphone for a good price.

I was looking for a new Samsung Smartphone for my mother, her Galaxy J3 2017 is now almost 2 years old and not up to date anymore! I was thinking between the A20e and the A40 but as the A40 is a bit better equipped, I decided to go for the Galaxy A40. Just the black back with the color effect is mega cool. The difference between the old Galaxy J3 2017 and the Galaxy A40 is very big, more memory, more internal memory, bigger screen, less frame, better camera front and back and now a Super AMOLED display! The setup worked out great, we know Samsung for a long time, so the new Galaxy A40 is no change for me and my mom. Top workmanship and super quality. For me, the price/performance ratio is good and with the purchased Samsung Wallet Cover a very nice smartphone and above all technically up to date! My mother is happy 🙂

I unpacked the phone and put it into operation. There were no difficulties at all. What I did not find so advantageous, however, is that you need a special key to open the memory and SIM card slot (which was included). Also I do not find it good under the aspect of environmental protection that the battery cannot be changed. What is if the battery gets out sooner? It leaves from the processing a very good impression. The surface is very sharply represented, which is naturally very favorable for me as eyeglass wearer. It is also good that it is a USB-C plug that you need for charging, so you don’t have to be careful when plugging it in. Unfortunately I did not find a german manual on the smartphone, so I have to search the net first. For this I have to deduct one point!

I bought the phone as a replacement for my overflowing Samsung A3 (2017). The first thing you notice is that the phone itself is slightly larger than the A3, but still fits well in a normal sized hand. But the screen is much bigger (thanks to the narrower edge) and with 1080 pixels in width it has a razor-sharp picture with which you can play HD videos or read an e-book. You’ll also be pleased with the camera(s), the rear camera records sharp video and thanks to the good Selfie camera on the front, you’ll be in the picture all around. The built-in mono loudspeaker is sufficient for making phone calls, and a good headset is recommended for listening to music. I felt that the A3’s battery lasted a bit longer, but I’m not sure if I made good use of the A40’s energy saving options.

The Galaxy A40 is a very good successor of the Galaxy J series with enormous improvements. The Smartphone fits well in the hand and is very clear and easy to use. The fingerprint sensor and face recognition work very well. The two cameras take very good pictures, also wonderfully suitable for selfies. The memory is sufficient, since it is expandable. Processor speed and RAM are very good. The only drawback: You can neither deactivate nor uninstall some pre-installed apps. But you can live with it. I would recommend the Galaxy A40.

After my iphone 5 gave up the ghost I was looking for a new mobile phone. I got along with the A40, because it has 64 GByte memory and has an additional memory card and an extra simm card slot. It was announced for the delivery 3 weeks waiting period, but to my surprise the delivery was already in a week. As always with Hermes who delivered it on time. I am very satisfied with the mobile phone, at the beginning a little bit to get used to, but that was soon forgotten. Too bad that there is no photo stream to the samsung tablet and the iphone. Otherwise I can recommend this mobile phone to everyone who doesn’t want to spend so much money on a mobile phone and still wants to take nice pictures.

I bought the mobile phone for my wife. At first I was sceptical about the nonsense that some buyers here have reported about the phone. For example that the reception is supposed to be bad. Well, my wife has signal strength as usual. Full 4g of signal. The processor runs smoothly, the camera takes good pictures. The phone is not small, it’s slimmer. Perfect for women hands. The materials are not the most expensive but what do you expect for 230 Euro? My wife is satisfied. Enough for Facebook and WhatsApp and for making phone calls. I couldn’t find anything bad. Sure there are better ones but you have to pay a lot more. We are satisfied. Super price performance

My wife used to have the Galaxy S5 Mini and was satisfied with it until the battery gradually ran out. I then bought her this phone. Much too big, what should I do with it, her first comments. Now she is well satisfied. The stupid thing is that there is no LED display to indicate received messages. Also the battery capacity is not shown in the status bar. You always have to pull down the bar to see how much steam is left. You can counteract with several apps, but it’s annoying. Therefore a star trigger. Otherwise a top part.

This is my first real smartphone and I am thrilled: very fluid performance, clear colors, a stable looking exterior and a camera that allows you to take really nice pictures. The integrated memory is, in my opinion, beautifully lavish. I haven’t tried games with it, but the everyday surfing runs smoothly and is fun. I can also read better on the phone’s display than on the monitor of my laptop. I have to charge the device about every two days. I am really satisfied and hope that it lasts a long time.

I bought this phone for my daughter, she got it for her birthday. She wanted to stay with the Samsung, because it is easy to use. But I didn’t want these expensive models, so I found this A40. I was skeptical at first, there are so many models… This phone has everything you need, a large memory, which is one of the most important things. My daughter is all around happy, I probably won’t buy it for her second child either. It doesn’t always have to be the most famous ones.

The smartphone Samsung Galaxy A40 is perfectly suitable for me. It lies well in the hand and I also like it optically very much. I use the phone mainly to write messages, make phone calls, listen to music and if necessary to take pictures. I don’t use games and other apps that require a lot of power, so the performance of the device is completely sufficient for my needs. For all those who do not need the best, most powerful top model, I recommend this device in any case.

I have now switched from the iPhone to the A40 and must say that I am completely satisfied with the change. For the very reasonable price you get a device with really good performance. It charges incredibly fast, but has a long battery life (almost 48 hours with full dodge). It makes really great pictures and the music sound is also really great. It’s also really chic and lies comfortably light in the hand. In summary, one can say that the purchase is really worthwhile.

I deliberately chose a smartphone with smaller dimensions, because I also use it as a navigation system on the bike. First impression negative, as Samsung needs its own charging cable again. Instead of Micro USB it is USB C. So I bought adapters. My data transfer from the old one worked fine, except for a few user errors. But slowly I’m getting along with the part and I’m satisfied. Provides some more functions than my old smartphone. I think we’re gonna be friends.

I ordered this Galaxy A40 for my mother. She had a Wiko Lenny 4 before but she couldn’t handle it. Used to have the S5mini, which she used to get on well with. And now she wanted to have a Samsung again, the choice of this one. She is super satisfied and does not want to give it away anymore. Setup went well. She can read it well, the display size is sufficient for her. Photos in good quality.

Mobile phone corresponds exactly to my expectations, lies very well in the hand, all functions top, unfortunately, I must take off a star, because as always the charging cable is too short, so 1, 50 m to 2 m would be very good and can be stored more practically for the moment of the charge, otherwise everything in order, I would buy any time again and also recommend

The Samsung A40 is a handy smartphone, just right for me. It had all the features I need and also enough memory. The camera is completely sufficient. If I have anything to complain about at all, it is the missing LED light when receiving messages, calls etc. But this is not so important that I would pull off a star. All in all the perfect choice for me.
